Announcing the formation of a new 501C Non-Profit Foundation: Music Medicine WoRX.

A passionate advocate for the healing power of music, Michelle has just begun the process of forming a new non-profit foundation called Music Medicine WoRX.   The program will initially focus on providing music therapy services to young victims of abuse, violence, trauma and family crisis.

Music therapy is a transformational creative practice that instills self esteem, positivity and above all physical and emotional healing in a unique and creative way.  It is also a medically recognized field that has been used in hospitals and psychiatric settings nationwide.

Michelle’s prior experiences as an at-risk youth counselor in the “Crossroads” youth program at the Golden Nugget and as a special guest music facilitator of Family and Child Treatment Center of Nevada led her to to witness the healing power of music therapy first hand.

Michelle’s dream is to provide a safe, creative, empowering place for at-risk youth of Southern Nevada to express themselves, grow, and heal from the inside out.  Her program will include music workshops, songwriting and performance clinics, celebrity interaction and appearances, and a recorded curriculum that can be eventually used nationwide.
