Bootlegger Las Vegas still rocking!
Kelly Clinton put on yet another great show at the Bootlegger Bistro’s Open Mic Night, which she hosts every Monday night.
Tonight powerhouse chick singers Lena Prima and Elisa Fiorillo joined Kelly in mermaid costumes a la Bette Midler and the Harlottes for the opening number, a parody on Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, with Kelly playing the Bette Midler role to a T, complete with a wheelchair borrowed from hubby Clint Holmes‘ mother, who was in the audience.
To quote Kelly.”I said to my mother-in-law ‘Move over sister … I need that chair for the act!’ There are no lines I won’t cross I tell ya. Dammit this is show biz!” Every Monday the opening skits get funnier and funnier. Several wonderful singers sat in, and as usual the food was great. I had chance to perform as well, and had a blast singing with the kick ass band (Mike Clark, Kevin Lyon, Billy Adams, and Steve Johnston.) More on the Bootlegger soon.
